Samir's (Karim Kassem) droom om deel te nemen aan een prestigieus DJ-kampioenschap in Brussel valt in duigen wanneer zijn vlucht wordt omgeleid naar Luxemburg, vanwege een grote staking in België. Het echte avontuur begint wanneer hij al zijn papieren verliest en aangezien wordt voor een vluchteling. De kleurrijke film toont de avonturen van ‘DJ Skaarab’ en nieuwe ontmoetingen op weg om zijn identiteit te herstellen.

Regisseur Adolf El Assal, die in Egypte geboren is en opgegroeid is in Luxemburg, wilde zijn persoonlijke ervaring delen: "Tijdens mijn jeugd maakte ik deel uit van een zeer multiculturele en kosmopolitische samenleving. Ik wilde altijd een verhaal vertellen over een protagonist die per ongeluk in Luxemburg belandt, net als mijn ouders."

De film duurde vijf jaar om te voltooien. Met deze drama comedy film wil de regisseur een andere kant van Luxemburg laten zien waar veel mensen niet van weten.

Samir’s (Karim Kassem) dream to take part in a prestigious DJ championship in Brussels is shattered to pieces when his flight is redirected to Luxembourg because of a major strike in Belgium. The real adventures begins when he loses all his papers and gets mistaken for a refugee. The colourful film shows DJ Skaarab's adventures and new encounters on the way to recover his identity.

Director Adolf El Assal who was born in Egypt and raised in Luxembourg, wanted to share his personal experience: "While growing up, I was part of a very multi-cultural and cosmopolitan society. I always wanted to tell a story of a protagonist who lands by mistake in Luxembourg, just as my parents did.”

The film took five years to complete. With this drama comedy film, the director wants to show a different side of Luxembourg that many people do not know about.
